Systems Engineer

Blue Net is seeking an intelligent, highly motivated, and resourceful individual to help architect, deploy and support Microsoft Windows, virtualized infrastructure, and Cloud Services (MS Azure) for both our clients and our multitenant cloud solution. The person we hire should be capable of conceptualizing, building, deploying systems, management, and automation technologies for both Windows and virtualized environments and a mixed body of Windows PCs, mobile devices, and thin clients. This person will work both independently and with other staff on substantial design, implementation, and research projects within Windows and virtualized environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for system architecture, maintenance, tuning, health checks, capacity planning and overall system performance
  • Implementation of new systems, upgrades, migrations, and modifications; including: planning, testing, coordinating and scheduling for clients.
  • Use and develop best practice for servers and network equipment.
  • Provide Tier II – III support for end users at client locations
  • Accountability for information security ensuring integrity of corporate systems (Data backups, BCP/DR, systems optimization in an environment running VMWare)
  • Accountable for information security (AV, Firewall, Anti-Malware, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Min of 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience with server applications in Microsoft and Virtualized environments
  • Experience installing and/or maintaining some of the following:
  • Microsoft server technologies (Server, Exchange, SQL, Hyper-V, etc.)
  • Microsoft Cloud services (Azure, Azure AD, Exchange Online migrations, etc.)
  • VMware technologies (VMware, vMotion, etc.)
  • SAN technologies
  • Networking technologies including HP ProCurve, Cisco, & SonicWALL
  • Hardware technology (HPE, Dell, or Lenovo)
  • Security management (including Group Policy Objects)

Network Engineer

The Network Engineer position is a customer-facing role with internal responsibilities. This position engages with our customers to design, architect, implement, troubleshoot and maintain their network infrastructure. The Network Engineer serves as a support level for troubleshooting networking issues. Additionally, this position will be responsible for maintaining documentation of client networks and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation as it relates to network topology, equipment, configurations.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures for help desk for first tier network troubleshooting.
  • Create project plans, design, and implement solutions
  • Network Support for problems identified with customers
  • Escalation point for Managed Service technical support team.
  • Participate in after-hours upgrades, troubleshooting, and/or on-call availability as needed.
  • Provide Network services in all areas needed: storage networking, Operating System, network security, and network monitoring
  • Interface with third party vendors as liaison between client and vendor
  • Develop custom scripts to monitor, automate and administer
  • Design, configure, and install custom infrastructure solutions for Data Center and Wireless customers
  • Monitoring through multiple platforms
  • Responsible for setup/configure wireless networks
  • Performing wireless predictive and onsite surveys

Qualifications:

  • Net+, Security +, SonicWALL CSSA and CCNA certification or equivalent proven experience
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years extensive technical experience in a variety of IT areas, including: thorough knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, Routing, Switching, and firewalls.
  • LAN communications (including 802.1q-based VLANS, link aggregation, etc.)
  • WAN communications (including Client-PPP, MPLS, load balancing, and high availability)
  • Understanding of 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi standards and related components
  • Ability to achieve successful outcomes in handling difficult situations and work with various customers and management levels
  • Demonstrated ability to create SOPs to help efficiency of Managed Services Technical support team
  • Demonstrated ability to create a project plan
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Effective communication skills

IT Technical Support Specialist

Provide high quality managed services, support and customer service for Blue Net’s clients across the company’s product and services offerings. This position operates on a rotating schedule to support our service offering hours of 7am to 6pm, Monday through Friday. This position is not limited to these responsibilities and may be revised as needed from time to time.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide reactive phone, email, and ticket support for Blue Net client base.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues over the phone by using advanced remote management tools or via on-site visit.
  • Monitor and response to alerts/alarms and incident tickets for Blue Net clients.
  • Follow established procedures for troubleshooting and escalation.
  • Troubleshoot, monitor and maintain client computers and desktop applications.
  • Log tickets into ticketing system following established procedures.
  • Hardware/software installations, configurations, maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Off-site client visits for support, hardware deployments and hands on tasks.
  • Proactive, daily monitoring and response to managed client backups, patching and antivirus to ensure tasks are completed/updated properly and following proper ticketing procedure for each task.
  • Creating and maintaining client play books.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation and procedures.
  • Miscellaneous team/office tasks as assigned.
  • On-call support on a rotating 1 week schedule is required.

Required skills and experience

  • Customer service skills and ability to communicate with non-technical users.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Effective communication skills in email and over the phone.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows (desktop and server).
  • Helpdesk technical troubleshooting.
  • Ticketing and use of ticket management system.
  • Reliable transportation and good driving record.
  • Ability to maintain a productive daily routine to ensure all tasks are prioritized and handled each day per procedure.
  • Continual commitment to keeping current with IT knowledge

  • A+ and Net+ certification or equivalent proven experience in end user / customer facing IT support role

Account Executive

We are looking for an Account Executive that has extensive experience and consultative selling skills to initiate long standing relationships with prospects, customers, and executive sponsors. The Account Executive is a customer-facing role, with signification relationship management skills required. This position is a mix of getting named accounts that are current clients along with bringing in new clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining and sustain long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key stakeholders
  • Independently develop new sales opportunities
  • Meet or exceed established targets

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years sales experience
  • Prior experience selling SAAS/Software
  • Experience in consultative, solution selling
  • Proven track record of quota achievement
  • Experience with mid-large deal sizes
  • A related college degree or equivalent in experience
  • Willing to collaborate with other team members
  • High energy and well-developed business sense
